I am now in the market for a new lcd TV, can someone correct me if Im wrong, is the theoretical and mathematical limit for highest quality view between 40"-42", I had my heart set at 52" and my rec room can handle that for the distance required but I have no problem going smaller pertaining to quality of view, I also do a bit of xbox 360 and I am a avid photograhper which include astro-photography and I would like to display my pictures on the TV, I am currently looking to replace my 280lbs 36" 4:3 Sony XBR (great TV), will the 42" look better then the 52" or am I out in left field here, I can go either sizes here.
Thanks

I have a 52" Sony LCD, and couldnt be happier. The only "limit" i know is where you sit. Most LCDs, the more off center you sit, the more you lose your viewing angle, the picture goes a bit dark. You dont have to be square in the middle, but you cant sit 90 degrees off the side of it either.
