Due to space constraints in my Lounge I would like to wall mount my towers to free up space around the Floor area.

My question is will I loose/Gain wrt the sound quality placing them higher and closer against the wall?

I have lifted them temporaly and could hear a marked improvement in sound?

I have the Wharfedale Valdus 400

Also speaker stands are not an option as they will not help with the space problems I have?

I have found some very sturdy brackets so I know the speakers will not fall down

    Thanks
    Johan

I don't know how much they weigh, but unless you hit a stud I don't think the drywall will hold them, especially with the vibrations. And the studs might not be in ideal places.

As far as sound goes, that is your judgement. I would assume that you would lose bass response. Also, if the tweeter gets too high you will lose your imaging.
