While browsing titles in a local B+M store, I happened to notice that John Wayne's The Wake of the Red Witch was released by Artisan. ( This title completely slipped my attention when it was first released. )
Since Artisan seems to be hit or miss - How is the transfer and the overall quality of the DVD? I'm not looking for reference quality, just a credible presentation that isn't overly distracting. Thanks in advance!

The picture quality is quite nice actually but the audio is unbalanced. The music level is too high and dialogue level too low. If you turn up the volume to hear the dialogue clearly beware the big blasts of the film's score that will blow you out of your seat. If you turn the volume down on the music, the dialogue is barely audible. Most frustrating but unfortunately not an uncommon phenomenon is some discs.
