Waiting For Guffman is finally here! Anyone who hasn't seen this movie yet, please pick this DVD up! It's well worth it!
not to important, but I wish they gave it a 5.1 soundtrack like the past laserdisc.
I haven't checked out the commentary yet, as DVDFile reported it not being that great(kinda of dry).
But I guess I should check it out, to make sure it's not defective, like it's been reported by some people(as the movie soundtrack not being played during the commentary)
I'm just now viewing the deleted scenes!
My favorite so far is the very first one(sperm whale)
The alternative music number(nothing ever happens in Blaine)
    is pretty funny as well.
If you want to make a great night of Christopher Guest, watch Guffman and Best In Show back to back!!
Again, DVD people..pick up Waiting For Guffman!!!!

I had never seen this movie but ordered the DVD. When I put it in the player to do quick quality check, I could not stop watching. It took control of me and I became totally absorbed in the movie. Highly recommended.

I got my copy but haven't watched it yet; one night this week for sure...
I didn't realize the audio wasn't 5.1, but no big deal. BTW, the LD didn't have a DD track, either-PCM only.

I bought one sight unseen because I loved Best In Show and Spinal Tap - I think Guffman is better than Best In Show - what an unexpected treat!
    Get it now!

I am thinking of picking this disc up. On a scale of 1-10, if one considers This Is Spinal Tap a 10, what would you call Waiting for Guffman? (And try not to say it goes to eleven! [IMG]) I liked Best In Show, but would only rank it a 6 next to Tap.

I think everyones grading scale is all wrong...everyone knows that This is Spinal Tap is an 11 [IMG]
Guffman I would have to give a 9 or 10 to. Just so much little stuff peppered through this. Had a brother in theater at school and college, so all this just seems so much funnier because of how wrong a lot of it is.
Best in Show I would give an 8
Only Spinal Tap can go to 11
