I installed a new Philips 42PF9631D yesterday and connected to my AVR-3803 receiver using component connectors from receiver to TV. When I press the setup button on the remote, the screen goes haywire. I can catch glimpses of the menu, but can not use it. It's as if the Horizontal Hold is out of whack. I press the setup button again, and a beautiful picture appears. Of course, no sound appears, because I have to map the digital input port.

I've done a microprocessor reset, thinking that would help. No help.

Would really appreciate any ideas that anyone has to offer.

    Thanks,
    Ron

Some plasmas freak out with OSD signals. Try using a different component video input on the set. (the manual seems to indicate that there are three)
