Hoping Friday that Once Upon A Time In Hollywood becomes available.
I'd buy that for a dollar!
ITS $56.99. Forcing you to buy the “collectors edition” with a 45 LP and a copy of Mad Magazine.
How about 57 of them?
I'm out on that. Come on, Vudu!
That price on Once Upon A Time has to be a dumb mistake. Maybe if there was no alternative to the collector's edition, I could see setting the digital price at $56 too but there's a regular priced 4K disc too so I can't imagine that they won't correct the digital price.
That's not the digital price. That's the D+D price for a collector's box set. There is a digital UHD option for $19.99.
The mistake here is that you can D+D a box set but not the standalone UHD disc. It's technically not incorrect, it's just that a purchase option is missing.
The terrific Dr Sleep is available now for $27.99 Disc plus Digital. Including the Directors Cut in 4K.
Also picked up Terminator Dark Fate last week. A great underrated film imo.
I just bought both, and it wasn't until AFTERWARDS that I noticed Dark Fate wasn't MA compatible, so I'll have to watch it with the Vudu app. No iTunes. CRAP! I know it's my fault for not paying attention, but really? I shouldn't have to. This cross-platform support situation is a complete PITA.
But you’ll get an iTunes and Vudu code with the disc when it arrives.
Right, but when I buy a disc + digital title on Vudu, I typically (unless I really love the film) sell the physical copy as soon as I get it. That's part of what makes their Early Access program so attractive to me. So no compatible digital copy unless I fall head over heels in love with Dark Fate, which is highly doubtful.
I’m watching Dark Fate in UHD on my Apple TV and it looks and sounds great. With the same iTunes extras I believe. How do you watch vudu?
By the way sorry if my post misled you in any way @dpippel
I think he stated he uses the Vudu app.
I know that. I was asking if it’s thru his lg OLED app or thru the Apple 4K TV app. Which is better and supports Atmos.
Yep, the Vudu app on my ATV4K. And is it the end of the world? Of course not, but for me it's a PITA to not have my entire digital library under ONE roof. Separate apps on the same device don't qualify.
Not at all, @Tino. I'm aware of the issues when buying from Vudu, but it's been a while since I've done so and I just wasn't on my toes this time.
I'm pretty sure he uses the Vudu app on his ATV4K unit.
There you go.
It happens to us all.
