While I do not have Voom, I have heard that it has the most Hidef Programing. Apparently they were unable to get financing to keep running.

They are supposed to shutter on April 30th according to the AP.

I thought Cablevision was to purchase it with it's debts and keep it running.

Come to think of it, that really sucks because a good deal of people invested some serious money to get HD programming.

If you go to startribune.com and do a search under voom you will get the whole story.
In summary they gave the ceo of voom until March 31 to arrange financing. It did not happen so they will be shut down. They did mention the possibility of selling the HIDEF channels to another sat. company.

    Sorry for the bad news.[IMG]

    hi again!

I did some surfing over to sat guys since I made the above post. It does seem like Voom is dead as of the end of April.

Argh....I dont consider this to be a good thing for the HT industry.

    Regards

    Gregg

Too bad they never came to Canada. We would have kept them afloat!
