I found someone at Comcast who suggested resetting the remote for the digital box. She told me to punch in some numbers which I did and it seems to work. Getting good sound now but still have to turn the volume up half way or more to start getting a decent listening sound. Does that sound normal? Does anyone else need to do that? William

Do you remember ever seeing a white volume bar on the top of your screen? And occasionally seeing ones at the bottom possibly green?

The cable box has its own volume control and needs to be set and locked on stereo. Once that is done, there is a way to force the remot control to just control the tv volume. Comcast can help you do this over the phone. I can also walk you thru it. First thing is to find out wether or not you have the remote with the 4 white buttons on the top.
