Volume knob for calibration? (1 Viewer)

I have an older onkyo and would like to calibrate the speakers for surround but I dont know where to put the master volume at? Any help would be great!! ( manual calibration,dont have Audessy or a mic set up on the receiver.)

The common method is to turn up the volume up until you get a 75 dB reading on a SPL meter, then adjust the individual speakers using the receiver’s menu. Of course, a SPL meter is required – not hard to find online, or even via a phone app.

I didn't know there is an app for that. I have a digital one.
