What you need to do is calibrate your system, so that each speaker plays at the same volume. This can be done using the recievers internal test tones, or a calibration DVD like AVIA or video essentials. The level can be determined by ear, but it is better to use a sound pressure level (SPL)meter. An SPL meter can be bought at Radio Shack starting at about $40 US. You would then adjust your system until each speaker plays at 75 dB at your seat, with test tones.
