Anyone heard of this woofer, it's marketed as a car audio driver. A friend of mine went against my suggestion of using a Tempest and went for one of these Volfenhag 15 sub drivers (ZX4715DVX) and since I already told him I'd help with the construction I thought I'd run it by you guy's and see if some one could point me to a easy fast and dirty on-line calculator that can help me find the proper enclosure volume and alignment for this driver. It will be used primarily for HT on the LFE output with a PS Audio amp bridged to mono @ aprox 120 Watts.

    Here are the Parameters

    Re 3.2 per coil
    Fs 29 Hz
    QTS 67
    QES 80
    QMS 3.97
    VAS 130.3 Liters (4.6 ft3)
    SD .0491M
    SPL 90dB 1W/1m
    Xmax 16mm

I know this don't look good.

Maybe some one could give me some idea, he already has some 24" Son-tube.

Thanks for any help, my modeling program is not up and running and with all the OT lately I don't have time to do it the old fashion way.

    OOps, I'm sure the correct values are;

    QTS .67
    QES .80

However the web page does not show the Point in front of these values.

However a different web page shows these values, and they look to be more likely.

    Continuous Peak Power: 500W
    Peak Power: 1200W

    Sensitivity (1W/1m): 91 dB

    Impedance: 4 ohms

    Fs: 30 Hz

    Qts: 0.526

    Vas: 1.98 cu. ft.

    Qes: 0.614

    Qms: 7.698

That is a Pyle sub... Pyle makes junk subs under tons of
different names like Volfenhag (A german concept hah!) and
    Performance Technique and Legacy and.....

FWIW I am a member of a car forum where a kid has 2 of
those 15's and a Legacy 15 billion watt amp, he bought it
all for like $150.00... He says "Man it slams" yep...
    I bet it does!

Other than the driver is pathetic I dunno what else to tell
you.. I am sure you can make it work, but you can't make it
work as good as a Tempest would have or an AV-15 (when they
    are out)

I guess I'll just throw it in a sealed box of about 4 cubic feet and go from there, I was hoping there was so easy on-line way to just enter the T/S pramaters and get a optimum sealed volume.
