I'm on a budget and I'm looking for a 1080p LED. So far the 43" vizio d-series is what im looking at but it doesn't have a great cnet rating. Besides the bad viewing angles (I will be right in front) is it a bad option?

Depends upon what you're looking for.

If I were in your position I'd rather just buy a used Samsung, Panny, or LG plasma on Ebay than purchase a cheap LCD screen.

I have an E series in for review right now. It's surprisingly good for the money.
