My dad has a set of Vintage JBL L212 loudspeakers in Mint Condition using with a vintage Kenwood KA-8100 Amp. He bought these new in 1978 for quite a deal of money at the time.

They still sound phenomenal and I was wondering if anybody knew anything about these babies. I guess they were revolutionary for the time, as it was the first full range Sat-sub system around.

Are these still collectible? Are they worth holding on to? We've had to recone a few of the drivers as the surrounds deteriorated with age. Expensive to repair these suckers....

It's amazing all the adjustability avail to this old vintage gear. The Kenwood has so many adjustments and filters. The JBLs have "presence" and "brilliance" adjustments for each of the sats as well. User adjustable crossovers on the fly?!?! Wow!
