I stumbled upon a pair of Carver Amazing Silver Speakers for sale locally - but because these speakers have been out of production for about 10 years - the info. / specs. on these are very brief & sketchy at best. Can anyone shed some light on these speakers? How do these speakers perform? What are they like as Front Mains in a 5.1 HT setup? What about the relability of the 48" ribbons? How's the base / midrange / highs? etc.........................
Any feedback / info. / opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend that you head over to Planar asylum
and ask I'm sure some one will be able to give you some feedback...

I remember listening to these “back when,” and to me they were extremely “mid-rangey,” lacking on both bottom end and top end. I guess it’s possible it could have been that particular show room...

Speakers of this type usually image very well, but personally smooth response comes first. If they don’t sound balanced, I don’t car how well they image.
