I just bought a Marantz Model 1070 off ebay and had a couple of questions. I wanted to know if it is ok to leave the amp on 24/7 - couple of weeks at a time since I use it daily. Ive seen some members on the forum suggest that with the volume turned down, you can do it with the newer receivers but this specific model is pretty old and was wondering if it still applies. Also what is the best way to clean the amp and keep it in good working/cosmetic condition? It sounds spectacular for the $100 I paid for it, even better than anything I have listened to recently and would like to get at least a year or two out of it, any help would be appreciated.

I'm using a Russound ACT-1 to switch my circa 1974 Crown DC300A. I'd suggests a similar solution.
