Just received! -- four days short of it taking one month for the 45-minute drive between the originating post office and my house. :)

Well I finally received my Silent Madness blu ray (after it initially was mis-delivered to a neighboring apartment building no less! :rolleyes:)

I actually caught the movie on the big screen a few years ago during the Silver-Age 3D revival series at NYC's Quad Theater -- and (allowing for the fact I'm of course watching on a smaller screen) the PQ on this disc is dramatically stronger. The image is nicely sharpened from what was certainly soft-ish source material; and the 3D is excellent, with great depth, separation and some nice pop-outs.

Another stellar job by 3DFA; once again they've brought a movie to life. And kudos to Vinegar Syndrome for working with them and issuing this.

My ratings:

Movie: 2.5
Image: 4.5
3D: 5.0 :3dglasses::thumbsup:

They must be pretty well caught up. I received my order with Silent Madness today. Just 10 days from order to delivery (received 3 days after shipping notice).

Man, if there's such a thing as too much 3D, I think Silent Madness is it. My eyes had a hard time focusing on much of it, something I don't usually experience with other 3D discs.

Pretty tame for a slasher film. The R rating must have been for the bare breasts rather than any of the violence. But not bad overall. It was a decent premise for the film, turning the tired trope of the maniac that breaks out of the asylum on its head. I think the scenes in L Wing in the asylum were the most disturbing of anything in the film.
