Are mp3s considered piracy by HTF?

    If not:

Would you be opposed to setting up some kind of file sharing via HTF where we could contribute songs that we want others to hear? ( I have some webspace sitting around)

Ain't gonna happen - we don't discuss or contribute to file sharing/piracy around here.

MP3s and their associated file sharing operations (KaZaa, etc.) are robbing the industry of revenues, and this format, however convenient, is unfortunately being more popular as a form of piracy than a form of personal computer archiving, which was its original concept.

    Larry,

While some discussions of the format of MP3 and a couple of basic discussions on file sharing services have been allowed here-- the active use of the HTF as a gateway for file sharing would not be something we'd be interested in doing (obviously opens up potential legal issues).

So I think well have to keep direct discussion and sharing off the HTF. Thanks for understanding.
