My brother has a Toshiba DVD hooked up to his entertainment center. Not sure what model # it is.
When he views jpegs on his computer, the images are in order. But when the disk is inserted in the DVD, the images are not in order on the TV screen.

Is there a fix or will he have to live with it?

    Thx

    Seth,

    Welcome to the forum!

The order of the images when displayed on a PC is determined by the program that displays them. If the program (e.g. the 'Windows Picture and Fax Viewer' in XP) uses the order of a directory in Windows Explorer, than the ordering of that directory establishes the order they are displayed.

You can change the order of the directory by clicking on "Name", or "Date Modified", etc.

When you insert the CD (or DVD) into a DVD-player, the order is determined by the player's logic (probably the order in which they were written, but that could be different). If you have a means of choosing the pictures manually, that would be the only way, I guess, of influencing the order.

So basically: yes he has to live with it, but perhaps (?) he can influence the order they will be displayed on the player by carefully writing them in a certain order on the CD.

    Good luck!

    Cees
