If my viewing distance is about 14', how large of a TV is "optimal"? I tried outlining a 42" space on the wall with masking tape, and it appears to be too small. I already went to electronic stores but forgot the room measurements. So I'm just looking for some feedback from you guys before I visit the stores again next week.

Thanks!:emoji_thumbsup:

FWIW, I sit about 7.5-8' away from a 43" Samsung DLP. At first I thought it was WAY too big, but that was mostly 'cause I was used to a 32" 4:3 tube TV. Now I feel that the 43" is perfect from my viewing distance.
I will say I'm glad I didn't go any bigger. You don't hear that too much around here, but in my case, it's true.
Anyway, if I was looking at a 14' distance, I wouldn't consider anything under 60". Actually, I'd probably go front projection so I could get a nice 80-90" image.;) But that's a whole different discussion.
