Vidikron TGS-300 (1 Viewer)

A dealer is offering me a Vidikron TGS-300 for $3,500. He claims it is four years old and the previous owner used it just for entertaining - major sports events, the odd movie. I'm new to the world of CRT projectors, but having seen a few I'm convinced they are superior to LCD units.

Is $3,500 the right kind of money for this unit?

I'd ask the guys at http://www.avsforum.com in the CRT section. They would definitely know and tell you straight.
