Have you tried the factory reset procedure I shared earlier? Nothing to lose in doing so.

With a monitor connected to the receivers output you'd still need an input device [like the Apple TV] connected for a meaningful test. This has already been done as it was the original, functioning setup before things went weird.
I didn't do that bc I am a little weary of all the programming the audio/video company has done getting wiped out. It's all tied into our network and runs through a crestron system that is tied to the remote control and the lights in the movie room. It's all surround sound and there are like 8 speakers hooked to the back of this AVR and I am fearful the reprogramming of all of it will cost more than a new AVR.

That's actually a great point. If the AVR is only [approximately] 6 months old, then the programming must be fairly recent as well. It seems to me the company you contracted to perform this programming should at least come out and eliminate their work as a possible culprit. Have you tried contacting them?

Alternatively, you could purchase another AVR as previously suggested. If swapping that one in solves the problem then you know the origin must be either the AVR or it's programming, both of which I'd hope were still covered by warranty.

Programming is fairly new with the purchase of the newest AVR that has now failed. Problem is I opted for a refurbished Integra 50.4, purchased on ebay, to try and save a little money. The original Integra that failed was 10 yrs old, so I was banking on the refurbished to last a few more years before having to update the entire system. So now it's either purchase yet again a used AVR from somehwere like accessories for less and pay for the reprogramming again or access the whole situation and redo the system. The Runco projector is amazing quality but definitely out of date as technology way advanced and the company is no longer in business. I kinda want to avoid the company we hired as well bc they cost and arm and leg just for their time. Just at a crossroads. I really appreciate all your input and help.

Hello! I am brand new to this forum and hoping some experts might can help. We have a Runco projector system. I know they are out fo business and eventually we will upgrade but everything has been working great for the past 10 years until yesterday. Here is my equipment:
Runco VX-3000i 1080p DLP Projector
Integra DTR-50.4 AV Surround Receiver
Crestron Brain
120" Widescreen Movie Screen
Lots of other items in the rack (Xbox, PS4, DVD player, Apple TV, Cable Box)

I know its overkill and technology has changed immensely, but 10 years ago it was an up to date system.

Basically my issue is the HDMI output on the projector to the AVR. Like I said everything working great until yesterday. Have sound and no picture. Changed the HDMI cord 3x, nothing. Have tried both HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 outputs. As soon as I plug the HDMI cord from the projector into the AVR the sound disappears and no video pops up on the screen spotify premium gratis. Ive tried switching HDMI inputs, changing the source on the projector and like I said 3 new cords. Any suggestions to avoid having to pay the audio/video ppl to come out and charge and arm and a leg for their service?
I'm going to be speaking/moderating a panel at the upcoming Drawing from Providence Conference at the end of the month, but wanted to run a technical issue I had at SIGGRAPH past everyone. Those of you that attended the SIGGRAPH party this year will have witnessed a few moments of panic while we ran into some video issues. The problem occured while my Toshiba Laptop was hooked up to an LCD projector using the d-sub external monitor port. The dektop and all applications showed up fine, but the video signal from within Windows Media Player, WIN-DVD and QuickTime Player all showed up as black. I could see the video on the actual screen, but for some reason this signal was not being shown though the LCD projector. A couple people at the event had mentioned having witnessed this themselves, but we never found resolution. We were able to get it working on another laptop, but not mine. I just want to avoid this happening again as my presentation is very much video based.

HELP!!! Ya'll I still can't get this to work! So now I have bought another Integra receiver, again used, but still having the same issue! So I have taken the crestron system out of the equation and am just trying to get an image on our screen! Heres what I have done: Apple TV plugged into HDMI port on receiver. Mounted Runco projector with HDMI cord running from it to the receiver. I can get volume (built in speaker system in the ceiling) and no image! I have plugged apple TV directly into Projector HDMI and get an image. So the HDMI port on projector is good. I ahve tested all my new HDMI cords and they all work when plugging Apple TV directly into projector. When I plug Apple TV into receiver I get sound and no image. THe HDMI cord running from projector into Monitor Sub port will not project an image on our screen but the cord is good! I also try the Monitor Main port and nothing. Have even tweaked the settings on the receiver and can not get an image! HELP me someone. This shouldn't be that hard! I have an integra 50.5. The receiver settings are a alittle confusin bc I am not familiar with ARC which I feel like doesn't apply to this. Also some of the HDMI settings like "Pass Through" etc. Wondering if I can get volume using the HDMI ports on projector with the Apple TV and then use a cord that has the RED, GREEN, BLUE from the projector to receiver to cast an image. I can't use Red, Green, blue for everything bc Apple TV is only HDMI.

This level of problem is difficult to troubleshoot without the ability to see real-time results of steps taken. Based on what you're reporting, however, I believe the issue must be with how the AVR is configured to process HDMI video signals.

My approach would be to factory reset the AVR and then go through the embedded setup routine as if it was being installed for the first time. Connectivity should be straightforward. Use Monitor Out [Main] for your projector and HDMI inputs 1-4 for your source components. The remaining inputs cannot handle 4K up-conversion if I'm understanding the documentation properly.

This web manual [starting on page 59] may be helpful in understanding HDMI options for manual adjustments but the auto-setup process should be all you need.
