Ok, but since you aren't the network, I'd say leave this issue to be resolved between the people involved.
I was under the impression you asked me what I would do. I told you. Now I get slammed for answering the question you asked? :rolleyes

If the network feeds a show to their affiliates as appropriate for broadcast, then they should be willing to support and shield those couple of affiliates who may be the target of some misguided attack because the show offends the delicate sensibilities of a few folks who apparently refuse to simply change the channel.
I totally agree. Frankly, it's good for people to be offended, it makes them actually think for once instead of being mindless sheep. If they have a bug up their ass, they can change the channel

That's what I did. I flipped by this and said "Wow, they actually figured out how to get porn on network TV" and changed the channel

One of the things that here in the San Francisco Bay Area is that KTVU--one of the charter Fox network affiliates--is very careful NOT to skip Fox network programming for all the wrong reasons.
KTVU has to pre-empt Fox programming occasionally due to commitments to televise San Francisco Giants games (KTVU owns a small percentage of the Giants) and KTVU is the primary local outlet for ESPN Sunday Night Football whenever the Oakland Raiders or San Francisco 49ers play on ESPN's Sunday Night games. As such, KTVU usually tries to show the Fox network programming after the late local news or posts a notice on their web site as to the actual broadcast date.

And what do they tell sponsors who will no longer pay the operating costs of thier stations? Will YOU volenteer your money to run the affiliate?
Any major station in any area is not going to go out of business if they go against their advertisers wishes and carries a show that the majority of the country is showing. There will always be local companies dieing to advertise on tv. So some pull their ads...oh well loss for them. If the station has good ad agents they will be able to explain to the company pulling the ad that they will be damaging themselves because of how many viewers they are expecting to get.

I can't believe that ANYONE would consider someone being shown in underware is porn. Next thing some people want is to start burning witches.

I totally agree with Malcom. Either the station carries ALL the networks programming during the time it is scheduled or they lose their rights to carry the programming. Stupid local affiliates. I can't stand Tallahassee, its such a backwards and boring town.
