Hey Josh , let me know how you like it as I’m really interested in getting it as I’m a fan of Sir Richard. Incredible that he’s going strong and seems to be in incredible health for his age.
I have Take Me High on the Network Blu Ray & love it. Bought it for him and especially Deborah Watling. Big fan of hers ever since I first saw her as a little girl in the 50’s UK version of The Invisible Man and Doctor Who.
I’ve never seen The Young Ones, Summer Holiday or Wonderful life so it will be a treat to see them for the first time in HD
Okay Just got the set in the mail and all of the movies are region free except "Summer Holiday" A Region B block comes up as soon as I put that one in my 4K player. Odd that they would only Region lock one of the movies. I do own the UK Studio Canal blu-ray of "Summer Holiday" which is also region locked. I'm able to watch it on an old Panasonic Blu-ray player by using the Top menu trick to by-pass the region block. I was hoping it would be Region free in this set so I didn't have to mess with that anymore.

The picture quality for the three movies I'm able to watch are a big improvement over the DVD's. Colors pop and picture is nice and clear. "The Young Ones" Looks the best I think. The LPCM 2.0 audio sounds great as well. The set is definitely worth getting, I'm just really curious as to why they region locked "Summer Holiday".

Thx for the review Josh! The only reason I can think of about the region lock is bc of Rights issues that weren’t included .

Bummer that Summer Holiday is region locked. That one is mt personal favourite of the bunch. Not likely that Kino will pick this up for a North American release.

Curious that they list A&C Meet The Mummy as 1.33 ratio when the U.S. Mummy collection has an anamorphic wide screen transfer (1.85 I think).

Maybe that problem with THE MUMMY'S TOMB will be fixed, but not counting on it. On the current BD, there is a brief shot that has a false start....and I think it was acknowledged at the time. I think it only bothered OCD people like me.

I think the audio could be a bit better, however maybe because of the source elements, nothing much can be improved. That is why I am wondering if the second tier of Universal horror titles from the late 30's and early 40's such as these Mummy titles would be any better in 4K than the standard Blu ray editions.

I think they consistently digitally manipulate audio now to get rid of hiss. It’s often better on laserdisc or even old VHS hi-fi tapes because it was just presented as is.

A very nice surprise! JESSICA arrived today. What fantastic transfer of a film I never thought would be released. on Blu Ray ! Opening credit sequence is a bit rough, the rest is colorful and pleasing even though it is not restored.

Thanks for that. I'm waiting for a release closer to home, but if that doesn't happen, I'll buy the Imprint disc.

There are a few great WWII films on my list that needs a upgrade so i hope it's good news.
It’s probably only the WWII epic which might have any interest for me. Leaving out Warner Bros and Fox titles which it won’t be, I can only think of The Victors, Is Paris Burning?, Battle of Britain and A Bridge Too Far. But I may be reading too much into the “epic” definition.

The Dirty Dozen possibly and for the 70's action comedy The Gravy Train with Stacy Keach and Frederick Forest or Hickey And Boggs.

Where Eagles Dare is another possibility.
