Vhs -> Dvd Problem (1 Viewer)

Hello. I connected my VCR with my video card through a composite to s-video adaptor and I used Cyberlink PowerProducer Gold in order to convert a videotape to a DVD. Unfortunately, the picture shows up well, but it has no color. I've tried all signals (PAL,Secam etc) but nothing's changed. Does it have to do with the program or the cable? Can anybody help me?
