Well I went down to my local sears store and bought it. Picture and sound are fantastic. I have only sampeled a few discs through it. I got a late start on using the player but setup is very easy and also has alot of other settings to setup. I'll try to give a full report on it tommorow.

Mike, I'm looking forward to your review. The '440 looks great for only $200. Do you have any DVD or CD players to compare to the '440 for playback of CDs? I am intrigued by the fact that the '440 uses a Burr-Brown 24/192 DAC. Also, if you have any MP3-encoded CDs, I would like to hear how the '440 handles them (e.g., random play of these discs).
