I have a friend who is boardering on artist when it comes to wood. He's willing to custom construct a two peice entertainment center for me out of cherry (my favorite wood). Does anyone have resources that I can start for a template?

You can start with your own imagination. I build custom furniture and entertainment centers. the first thing i do is mesure for the equipment and then just make a rough sketch and take it from there.
