Very Good Rumor Re: Twin Peaks (1 Viewer)

If you go to today's Digital Bits' Rumor section, you'll see a post (based on info to be found at LynchNet.com) that says that sources at Paramount say its "almost a sure thing" that in 2005 they will release Season Two of Twin Peaks and a re-release of Season One with the Pilot! In late 2005, Paramount gets the rites to this show (and the Spelling properties) from Lion's Gate (formerly Artisan). Digital Bits reported that they had heard similar rumblings as well.

I had heard rumors of Season Two, but not that the Pilot could finally see a Region 1 release. So, good news all around (though not 100% confirmed yet)!

Only if the pilot is released separately. People who bought season 1 won't be happy if the only way to acquire the pilot is to re-purchase what they already bought.

Ouch, that's true! Still, perhaps if enough people make a fuss at this early stage, Paramount would be convinced to release the Pilot both separately or as part of a new set.

What a coincidence; I was just talking to my wife yesterday about how disappointed I am there has been no news of this set. Let's hope it pans out as fact.

If they re-release S.1, it would take more than the pilot to make me buy it. (I already have that region 0 pilot released in Canada.) If they also included some commentary tracks from the actors rather than just from the pretentious directors who provided commentary before, that may persuade me to make a second purchase.

My comment was not directed at you, so please don't take it as a criticism. It was just an attempt to highlight to all in general that this matter was already discussed elsewhere, and that this would a better place to discuss the issue. If we started a new thread every time a TP rumour started, the place would be overwhelmed with TP threads.
