I have a new Sony DVD, it is model DVPNC85H, and it has all sorts of settings regarding the audio output.

My receiver is an older Sony unit. Model STRAV920 It has rear speakers but is not pro-logic in the sense there isn't a center channel output. Surround Sound modes can be set at off, hall, simulated and dolby.

If it matters I am using an ordinary TV and the input to it are via ordinary RCA jacks.

I don't know what settings are correct for the DVD:

Downmixing: Dolby or Normal?
Dolby: D-PLN or Dolby?
DTS: On or Off?
48kHz or 96kHz PCM?

Any help or explanations would be appreciated as the manuals have my head spinning.
