Is it just me, or are there some alarming plot similarities between these two films. The thematic similarities are almost alarming. Apart from the German hardcore pornography and persistent body metamorphosis. :D Obviously, Vertigo actually has a proper story, and doesn;t have Lost Higway's, urm, colourful imagery. But the themes of obsession, identity-angst (two almost identical looking women, one with blonde hair, the other brown) are at the core of both films. Maybe this like is the key to discovering what Lost Highway is all about?
(edit: amazingly, another Lost Highway thread has just been started, it's on a totally different topic howvere. I didn't do it on purpose! :b)

Lynch's Twin Peaks also had its share of Vertigo style. Especially the two lookalike girls, one (dead) blonde and one (live) brunette -- one of whom is named Maddy Ferguson!
