** Yes...I just noticed the Velodyne typo ******

Putting together a system for my parents and I need a sub.

I am looking at either the Paradigm Cinema 90's or Def Tech Procinema 80's for speakers but need a sub to fill in the lows. The CHT-12 (18x15x21) is about as big as they will go and they don't need anything more powerful.

I have been very happy with my Velodyne HGS-15 which is why I am leaning to the CHT-12, however I am open to feedback and suggestions for other brands in the $400 range.

Thanks for the help,
Kevin

I have been using a Paradigm PDR-10 for a little while now and have found it to be a great entry level sub. It it very good for home theater, it shakes the room quite nicely during the pod race scene of episode 1. Music wise it is nice as well. It fills my 12' x 19' room easily. Plus it only cost me $380 Canadian (about $260 u.s.)

For that price you cant go wrong.
