Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has heard these subs to compare? I was considering velodynes spl-1200 or hgs-10
How do these compare to the svs powered cylinder subs?
I also was looking at Hsu tn sub. Which would be better for music? All comments are welcome. Thanks in advance.:D

The Vel. SPL-1200 retails for about $850.00 and the HGS-10 is around $2200.00...pretty big price difference. At $850.00 either the VTF-3/TN1220(passive) or the SVS 20-39PC Plus would outperform the SPL-1200. At $2200-2500.00 range....I personally would go with "dual" SVS 20-39PC Plus's. This would outperform the HGS-10 in dramatic style...and have lot's of cash left over!(2)TN-1220HO Subwoofers
with the new 500 Watt "external" Amp($1700.00) would also, easily, best the Velodyne offering. Either way...your inquiry has led you in the right direction!

For music the Velodyne SPL-1200 is a winner. Sealed box, state of the art driver and amp for clean, accurate tight bass. Velodyne has been preaching low distortion for years and you can hear the difference. Audition it and see what you think.
