vandersteen 2wq crossover question (1 Viewer)

I bought a 2wq sub and it didn't come with the variable crossover. The dealer custom made one for my amp 50 ohm input

After reading the manual, it suggests one lower than the input. What are the input levels on this variable crossover?

Conroy,

I would demand the temporary variable crossover from your dealer, or call Vandersteen direct, and have it delivered overnight. Having the 50k crossover may indeed work, but you'll never know if its the optimal setting for you.

I'd be hesitant to use the crossover provided for by your dealer in case you have to deal with warranty issues. And yes, in my instance, the setting below rated amp input impedance worked for me.
