    Hello,
I stopped by LiveWire today in Windsor to check out the Monitor 7's and also the rest of the line. I did like the Monitor 7's, definately better than the bookshelves in the series. The whole Monitor series was there to listen too, and all were V3's except the 5's. The demo was run off an 80 wpc Yamaha reciever.
Only problem is that I had been to the Home Theatre and Hi-Fi Buyers guide page: http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/buyer...-speakers.html and was expecting an MSRP closer to $650, as apparently the Canadian and US MSRP's are very similar. Anyways, he quoted a selling price of $900 but said he could do $800. Are the V3 monitor 7's $150 more than the V2's? I'm not thinking so. Also I hear people getting 20%-40% off of MSRP, making me think my $650 target is posible. I'd be happy with $700 now. Any ideas guys, anyone been pricing V3's recently, especially in Canada?
The quote I got without haggling was:
    Monitor 7: $800 Can.
    Monitor 5: $650 Can.
    Mini Monitor: $400 Can.
    V3 CC370: $400 Can.
    Thanks for any help.
    Dan

In answer to your question, YES the v.3's are more expensive than the v.2's. I've been shopping for the Monitor 11's whose v.2 went for $1200CDN MSRP. I almost fell off my rocker when the dealer quoted the v.3's: $1400CDN MSRP... $1480 shielded!

I believe, for the Monitor 7 v.3's, he said they were something like $100 more expensive, but $150 seems right. I had $800CDN for the 7 v.2's, and $900CDN for the v.3's (MSRP).

Man, if Paradigm keeps raising the prices on the Monitors people will simply forget them in favor of the Studio's.
