Hello all. Long time projector user but new to UST. I picked up a Hisense PL1. The issue I am having relates to lining up the bottom of the screen. I'm surprised not many talk about this but it seems like you need to have your PJ at an exact height to have proper alignment at the bottom. Seems clear my current TV stand just simply won't work. Am I missing something? Is there any other way to get proper bottom alignment short of finding the absolute perfect height stand for your PJ?

Also, specific to the PL1 in settings > laser there is a setting for screen size that says 100 inch but it is greyed out and can't be changed. From what I've read there is no way to change the image size apart from moving the PJ further away from the wall...if that's t he case then why is this setting in the menu? If it can't be changed, why is it there? The literature says screen size 80, 100, 120.

Thanks all!!

Welcome to HTF. I can't help you I'm afraid as I've never used a UST. I'll be interested though to hear from experienced UST owners.

Seeing as no one has answered
yet - I don't have a definitive answer for you but I do own an optima 1080p darbee short throw. The only way I found to line up the bottom of the screen was to build a stand that allowed me to set it physically (there is a base screw adj but that warps the picture). The Short throw projector and UST throws the image upward so it appears the base is fixed. If someone knows differently I would love to learn about it.

As far as the size setting - I would like to know an answer as well as I have been considering buying a laser UST and I like BIG screen.

ADDED: found this on the internet
To set a Hisense PL1 projector to a 120-inch screen size, simply position the projector the correct distance away from the wall; due to its Ultra Short Throw technology, the projector's placement directly determines the projected image size, allowing you to achieve a 120-inch image by placing it close to the wall, typically around 42cm away depending on the specific model and screen surface.

Hope this helps
Cheers
