Sorry for beating a dead horse here, but I'm trying to make sure I've used the proper rcvr adjustment features to calibrate the SPL level of my sub (using Avia for 85dB.

My onkyo 898 has a Speaker Level Calibration AND an Audio Adjust sub-menu that reads:

    Speaker Level Calibration:

    a. Left : -1dB

    b. center : 0dB

    c. right : -1db

    d.

    e.

    f.

    g.

    h. subwoofer: -12dB (range is +/-15db)

    Audio Adjust:

    -LFE LEVEL

    a. Dolbly Digital: -10dB to 0dB

    b. DTS: -10dB to 0dB

Now, during the whole process of calibrating my sub to 85dB, I only used the Speaker Level Calibration sub-menu and ignored the "Audio Adjust:-LFE LEVEL" settings -

. . . was I correct to have used only the subwoofer Speaker Level Calibration adjustment ?
