Using Floating shelves for speakers (1 Viewer)

I am considering going with floating shelves instead of traditional speaker stands or wall brackets.

Is anyone using floating shelves for their fronts or even rears? Which ones are you using? Pls provide pic if you can.

Anyone using a floating shelf for their center channel or all three LCR's?

If so, which one did you end up going with ?

I need a 24"x12"x2" size shelf.

Any recommendations of a good one that can hold about 30-40 lbs?

Make your own since you need a custom size and it needs to hold a lot of weight. Googling DIY floating shelf only returned 1.68 million hits.

I would be suspect of the weight you're going to need for these to support. I'm not sure the weight capsity of all models of floating shelves but the ones that I have seen wouldn't hold what you're looking for.

30-40 lbs. is too heavy. I wouldn't do it.
