Just wondering if anyone knew of a way I could use my equalizer at the same time I use the optical(digital) out on my CD player? I have a Denon 3200, an Onkyo equalizer, and a Sony CD player.
I have the equalizer going through the 'monitor source' on the receiver and it works great if I just use regular RCA plugs out of the CD player. But, I wanted to try to use an optical out cable instead and the Denon manual says the monitor funtion doesn't work when using a digital-in signal...
Is there a better way I could hook up the equalizer and still use the optical cable?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
    Ace

Sorry Ace, you can’t “mix and match” digital and analog audio signals.
