I just got HDTV installed on my brand new Dell 2405fpw monitor. It looks great except for a few lines in the picture on some of the HD channels. The cable guy said to get a sheet of Dynamat to put behind the monitor to eliminate the digital "noise" aka the lines on the screen.

My question is, I've done a lot of searching on dynamat and they seem to be used mainly for sound systems, so will using it to improve my HD picture work? I wish I knew more about this when the cable guy was here so I could find out for sure. Also, does anyone know any good places (perhaps some sponsers) to get the Dynamat? Thanks.

Dynamat is a mobile electronics (car audio) product. Maybe he thought that Dynamat Xtreme with the foil backing could shield the internals from external noise or something. Anyway, try not to listen to cable guys. he he
