I'm getting a Toshiba 50H81 this Friday and I'm a little curious about the proper way to use Avia on a 16:9 display. Should I use Avia in the 4:3 dispay mode (window-boxed) or stretched to 16:9? I'm guessing this might be an important distinction in the case of the sharpness settings, which use thin, vertical lines. I'd hate to use the stretch mode and get inaccurate results because the lines are now too far apart.

    Any suggestions?

Avia has some special patterns for 16:9 displays where needed. These are:

    - Geometry

    - Resolution

Non of the normal patterns corresponding to these will look right in Full mode, the rest don't matter.

And you are really concerned about the sharpness, use the Resolution pattern instead.
