To those that own powered mains and a stand alone sub (or subs),when you sound level them, how do you do it? would you run LFE to all,or just the stand alone sub while using speaker connections (or jumpers) to the mains?

I'm curious to find out how others set their systems in this configuration, and what you guys think is the best way to intigrate it all!

I use powered towers plus external subwoofers in my system. I feed the subwoofer sections in my mains full range signals only, no LFE channel information.

I use an 80Hz highpass on all channels for movie material.

Avia provides high/low cycling test tones which can be used to level match the upper and lower sections of your powered towers.

Set your mains to large when doing this.
