Are there any potential issues with using AC outlets on the receiver (denon 3802)? The manual says to only use them for audio components--would it be ok to plug a cd mega-changer directly into the receiver?

Generally, you can plug most audio/video components into the back of the receiver. The exception to that is any other amplifier.

It should be ok. I have my LD player and RF demodulator plugged into the back of my Yamaha receiver.
