I have settled on the Tempest in the adire designed EBS alignment. I have the 250w PE plate amp waiting, but I was wondering: I have a Carvin Pro Bass 500 bass head, which can go 500 watts bridged mono @ 4 ohms with speaker level outputs. Is it possible to use this in a home theater setting? I thought at one point I read about a voltage problem with consumer output (the sub RCA out) being too low for the professional 1/4" input. Anyone know anything about this? Thanks!

Unless you can bypass ALL the preamp functions in the head amp this won't sound very good.

I once owned an rl series carven head, and if I remember correctly there was a way to completely bypass the preamp stage. I can't remember if there was a pre-amp in or if you have to put it in the return for the efx loop, but there should be something. If you can get it figured out it should work fine, its the same amp stage they use on their power amps.
