    Synopsis
Waking up with two bullets in his back, Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) discovers he has the skills of a killer and no memory of his violent past. *With the help of Marie (Franka Potente), a nomadic stranger, he uncovers the deadly truth: he's an elite government assassin, a $30 million weapon the government no longer trusts. His former bosses, a smooth politician (Brian Cox) and a jaded bureaucrat (Chris Cooper), are determined to erase all traces of their trained operative. I'm going to keep the Collector's Edition and also am going to purchase this edition. No problems with me for them deciding to do this. Although we all know that there's going to be a Bourne Trilogy set as soon as Ultimatum is released.

Is this the same alternate ending from the previous DVD or a different one?

I'd love to know exactly how the beginning and ending have changed. When are the reviews due?

Will this replace the current Collectors Edition or will the Collectors Edition still be available after this Extended Edition is released?

Is there anything really substantially different or improved or is this like some other recent "special editions" on which the main improvements consist of puff pieces for a simultaneously released sequel?

I'm talking more about an improved transfer (the old one looks stunning to me) or audio remix, not a few minutes of deleted footage stuck back in for the sole purpose of being able to justify a new release.

They removed the DTS track. That's NOT an improvement.

Tey may have just left it off the press release ala Pitch Black. Universal's been having problems with press-release accuracy lately. (They also call most of their tv releases mono, even when they aren't).
