I have a Tosh 42H81 TV, and a Tosh...*can't remember the model number at the moment* DVD player. The TV has 3:2 pulldown, and the DVD player has the option to output interlaced or progressive.

My understanding is that both the DVD player and TV will use 540p as the format for progressive scan. My question is which one to use? Would my DVD player or TV set do a better job creating the progressive signal? Should I get a stupid looking picture if I use both?

    Greetings

The 480P signal from the DVD player is usually cleaner and has improved resolution compared to the 480i output.
