I have been looking for a single speaker to use as my rear surround on a 6.1 system. The receiver is an Onkyo 701 which only has one output. Unfortunately I have not been able to find a single surround but came up with this idea of using a center channel speaker in this application.

Is there anything that I am not seeing here?
I have Klipsch RS-35 surrounds and saw a good deal on a Klipsch Synergy center channel for 1/2 off. Is there going to be a mismatch with these two different types?

    Thanks

I would suggest using the same type of cc as your existing cc you are currently using for your fronts.
