I have not used this product, but I have way too many old records. I find a dedicated setup with multiple settings for different pre 1954 RIAA EQ (AES, LP, FFRR, NAB) of records works best for me.

I bought one of these from Amazon last month after my old turntable died.

I think the price was around $150.00. The model is ittusb from ion.

It works OK. I have been making some digital copies of some of my LPs using the audacity software and have had no problems with the turntable.

Stanton makes a high-end DJ-type turntable with digital audio output. Apparently they had to digitise the signal, because it has independent pitch and speed variation [which means a phase-vocorder circuit, as I recall], so they provide SPDIF output for a cleaner interface. I don't know if it has a programmable preamp, although you'd almost expect that from Stanton.
