US Digital HDTV Local?

    I know the national roll out has not happened yet but I was wondering if any one knows if you can pick up Local HD atsc with this receiver even if you do not subscribe to the US digital programming?

    Seems the receivers are selling for cheep around here in Utah!

    Did some searching and it looks as if it will do free OTA HD in 720 and 1080i (4:3 and 16:9.

    Might be worth it for OTA!

    I love how Wal-Mart consistently has no clue what they're talking about. From the item description on their Web site:
    Really? You'd think 720p and 1080i HDTV would be considered to be better than DVD's 480p.

    Hmm yeah their description is funny.

    On an NTSC set, that is what you get with it, I woudl think. lol


    But if the description was really true, I'd pass on it. Cause I'd want full HDTV looking picture quality out of it for sure.
