    Hi,
I need a little help. I'm on a budget (quite a tight one, i want something pretty cheap if i can help it), and i was thinking of an upscaling dvd player so I can get near HD picture quality for when I get a HD tv. But the problem is, all the dvd players with upscaling have no inputs for speakers on the back, which means that i'll have to buy a reciever and speakers which will be quite expensive. Are there any upsacling dvd players that come with speaker or will I have to buy a reciver with speakers?
    Thanks.

Hi John - your only option would be to purchase a Home Theatre in a Box (HTIB) system, which we usually don't recommend on this forum. In any case, this will usually include a DVD/Receiver combo (with HDMI Upconversion), along with 5.1 or 7.1 satellite speakers.

Here you can read the pro's and con's of purchasing an HTIB: http://hometheater.about.com/cs/befo...aahtissuea.htm

    What is your budget?

I'm working in UK pounds, so my budget is no more than 500 GBP.
