Having added a Rotel 1090 ([email protected]) myself to my system. I can identify with you. The sonic impact is amazing.
I'd say your ready for winter.
    Enjoy the toys!

Congrats. on getting the new toys, Trevor. I see you are getting into SACD in a big way. I like it!
I haven't bought much lately, but I did buy Totem Arro floorstanding speakers for my main stereo system back in August.
    Here are planned upgrades:
    Main System
    * Sony SCD-C555ES multi-channel SACD changer. I am looking for the best price and may wait to see if the price drops some. It will give me multi-channel SACD and will replace a Sony CDP-CA80ES CD changer. I have no definite timeframe for getting the 'C555ES. When I get the 'C555ES, Y-adapters will also be necessary for my Sony STR-V444ES receiver since I already have a DVD-Audio player.
    * Energy Active Crossover box. I need this to connect my Energy e:XL-S10 subwoofer to the NAD C 370 stereo integrated amp in my main system. I will be getting this shortly. Having the sub in the main stereo system will make things "easier" on the Totem Arro floorstanders. Sound from the Arros in the mid-range should improve.
    * New speaker cables for the Totem Arro floorstanders. I am using standard Monster speaker wire at present. I haven't decided what to get, but I've heard good things about the Kimber Kable 4TC cables. I'm not sure when I will do this.
    * New interconnects for an Ah! Njoe Tjoeb 4000 CD player and Sony SCD-777ES SACD/CD player. I am looking to upgrade from Monster Interlink 400mkII RCA interconnects on my better components. I would also consider better interconnects for my Sony MDS-JA555ES minidisc deck. If I get the aforementioned 'C555ES, I will probably want better interconnects for it too (especially for the stereo analog outputs). I don't know what cables I will get and when.
    Living Room System (longer-term plans)
    * New speakers. At some point, I will look into replacing the Energy e:XL 16 bookshelf speakers with something better. My integrated amp (NAD C 350) and front-end components (Sony SCD-C333ES and Pioneer Elite PD-65) outclass the speakers. I don't know what I will get and when. Maybe another pair of Totem Arros since I like them so much in the main system.
    * New speaker cables and interconnects. If I buy new speakers, I will probably want new speaker cables and interconnects. I'm using Monster stuff in this system too.
    * Subwoofer and crossover box for the integrated amp. Depending on what speakers I were to get, I may want a subwoofer for this system. I would need a crossover box to connect the sub to the C 350 integrated amp just like what I will do in the main system.

    Trev,
You don't have enough heat radiating from all your gear to heat the house? [IMG]
Anyway, congrats on getting your new goodies, hope you're enjoying everything, especially the PS2.

    Hi!,
Michael,Michael and Darrel...The HCA-3500 is connected to the Studio 100's and biwired.
Undoubtedly the sonics of these speakers have improved..Higher wattage and a higher current over the 2205 would be the reason for this. With the amps calibrated to reference I find them to be more powerful at lower volumes than prior. Since this amp is fairly new, break in time will be required also,,maybe a couple of months.
Dustin,...The Ultra's may be my next upgrade, although you never know what else may come about.
Gary,...The heat generating from these two amps is immense.
They are well ventilated as well.
This winter I will not need a heater to heat the HT room.
The amps will be my furnace. [IMG]
    Keith,...I love your list. [IMG]
Neil,...The FPTV is something I may also want to invest in very shortly.
    Steven,...Go Steven Go!!.

Hmm, I wonder if I should take a trip to Sask. and see what's in Trevor's trash. Maybe a couple of "obsolete" amps and receivers?
