I want to upgrade my Yamaha YHT-100 HTIB. The price that I want to spend is $550.00 total. I want a receiver and speakers that sounds good in movies, SACD, DVD-A, and Xbox. I don't need a subwoofer, because I have a very good subwoofer. HTIB's is okay. The brands of receivers that I am looking at are: Denon, Yamaha, Sony, Onkyo, or Pioneer. The speaker brands are still in question. The places I am willing to buy from are: Best Buy, Circuit City, Cruthcfield, or Ultimate Electronics. Remember I want to spend $550 total.

The only thing you could do for that price range that I can think of is the Onkyo HT-760 HTIB.

Could you recycle your current Yamaha as a receiver? I'm not too familiar w/ HTiBs but if you can recycle that receiver, you could come up with something better in the speakers area with the $500 vs splitting it up.
